First, IDX stands for Internet Data Exchange. This is the sharing of local Realtors® MLS listing information. Property data is taken from a local MLS and made available for use on Realtors®` web sites. By making this data available for Realtors® , each Realtor® has a much better chance to market their services since they give Internet users the ability to browse and search listing data and take some of the tedious work off that Realtors®` hands. What we have done is developed a custom design program where our clients` logo appears on each detailed listing sheet along with a contact form that is sent instantly to that office`s email. We currently have variations of our IDX program running the property listings on real estate sites across Florida and Georgia. IDX is the sharing of listing data which is almost nationwide in various Realtor® associations.
Most associations offer free links to there pre-formatted IDX page which many Realtor® offices take advantage of. We have found that many of these free links are hosted by Internet servers that are starting to slow down with the addition of each new site which uses that free service. What we offer is a more controlled solution for our Realtor® clients. We make it possible to host all this same listings for each Realtor® web site with a custom format, which is another option which is not currently available with the free link system. Another benefit to our IDX system, is that it keeps the potential customers in your site. Since the user is not sent to another site for information (like the free link), there is no reason to look anywhere else for real estate information. Photos, detailed property information, office contact information along with a contact form can be displayed on each listing for the web site user.
